Incident Management

Our Incident Management System complies with the requirements under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Incident Management and Reportable Incidents) Rules 2018 and the Commonwealth Work Health and Safety Act 2011.

The role of participants in our response to incidents when they occur is critical. We seek feedback from participants in relation to incidents that have affected them, include them in any review and investigation process and advise them of the outcome.

There are two situations where reporting of incidents may be required:

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 registered NDIS Providers are required to notify the Commission where an incident is deemed to be Reportable under the rules associated with the Act.

Under the Commonwealth Work Health and Safety Act 2011 there is a duty to notify Comcare in the event of a Notifiable incident occurring.
