Patricia McKibbin - APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist | Director | BSPTS Rigo Concept practitioner

Patricia is a titled APA titled Paediatric Physiotherapist and Director of Country Children’s Physiotherapy.

Patricia has extensive experience practicing in paediatrics in both Australia and Canada including providing Paediatric and Neonatal Physiotherapy services at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children (The Canberra Hospital).

Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Newcastle University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Paediatrics) from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Advanced Clinical Paediatric Physiotherapy from Monash University.

Patricia has experience in a wide variety of paediatric conditions including developmental delay, orthopaedic conditions and growth related pain. She has a special interest in the management of idiopathic scoliosis and is trained in Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis Specific Exercises (PSSE) through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School.

Patricia is dedicated to providing Children with evidence based and best practice physiotherapy.

Kate Caldow - Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist | Director

Kate is a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist and Director of Country Children’s Physiotherapy.

Kate loves living in Regional Australia and is passionate about providing Country Children and their Families with access to the highest standard of Physiotherapy Services.

Kate holds a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University and has 20+ years experience practicing in paediatrics within public hospitals, private practices, community health services and sporting settings within Australia and the United Kingdom. 

Kate has extensive experience in a wide variety of paediatric conditions and has a special interest in treating paediatric orthopaedics, serial casting and developmental delay. Kate is certified in the use of Prechtl's Method on the Qualitative Assessment of General Movements.

Millie McClelland - APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist

Millie is a titled APA Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children’s Physiotherapy. 

Millie holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from the Australian National University, a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra and a Master of Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy Practice from Monash University. 

Previously, Millie worked at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children (The Canberra Hospital) providing paediatric and neonatal physiotherapy services, prior to moving to Hong Kong where she continued to provide paediatric physiotherapy services. Millie joined Country Children’s Physiotherapy on returning to Canberra.     

Millie has completed training for Prechtl’s General Movements Assessment and Hammersmith Infant Neurological Exam (HINE). She holds a special interest in cerebral palsy and developmental delay. 

Millie is a firm believer in early intervention therapy to ensure children are given the best opportunity to reach their full potential. She feels the best approach is to make physiotherapy fun and enjoyable for children as well as maintaining a close relationship with families and the child’s support network.

Harriet Thomas - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Harriet is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children’s Physiotherapy.

Harriet holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra after studying musical theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. After working as a physiotherapist at Canberra Hospital, Harriet has followed her passion for paediatrics to come and work at Country Children’s Physiotherapy.

Harriet strives to provide evidence-based practice in an interactive and creative way to best support children in achieving their life goals, no matter how big or small. Harriet has a specific interest in hypermobility, genetic conditions and FND.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her Hungarian Vizsla Ollie, travelling, and crocheting.

Talisha Jackson - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Talisha is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children's Physiotherapy.

Talisha is born and raised in Canberra and holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Canberra. 

Talisha loves working with Children and has a special interest in children's continence and working with young amputees.

In her spare time, Talisha thoroughly enjoys keeping active by working out at the gym, hiking, swimming and is also a keen ballet and jazz dancer.

Alisha Koskinen - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Alisha is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children’s Physiotherapy.

Alisha graduated from the University of Canberra, with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

Alisha has experience working with children and adolescents in various settings including sporting environments, disability support services and tertiary educational placements at  the Westmead Children’s Hospital. Alisha has a special interest in sports injuries, growing pains and hand therapy. 

In her spare time, Alisha enjoys going for walks with her energetic dog, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Soumya Sharma - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Soumya (Som) is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children’s Physiotherapy.

Som has attained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University in Orange.

Originally a Canberra local, Som has returned to the region to provide evidence-based physiotherapy care to children.

Som has experience working with children and adolescents in tertiary educational placements in rural NSW and in sport settings. Som has also spent numerous years teaching martial arts to children as young as 3.

In her spare time, Som enjoys playing soccer, going for a leisurely run or walk and playing tennis.

Mackella Pye - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Mackella is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children's Physiotherapy.

Mackella is from Boorowa, which is a small country town located approximately 1.5hrs north of Canberra in the Southern Tablelands.

Mackella moved to Canberra and has attained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra. 

Mackella enjoys working with children as they are energetic and full of life and she enjoys incorporating exercises into games where both the children and Mackella can have fun together. 

In her spare time, Mackella loves to be active through team sports, running or going to the gym and also spending time with her family and friends.

Katie Summers - Paediatric Physiotherapist

Katie is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with Country Children’s Physiotherapy.   

Katie has attained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra.

Katie loves working with children as has experience tutoring migrant and refugee children as well as working in Singapore as an Au Pair.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys going to the gym, riding her motorcycle and playing with her dogs.

Lauren Clancy - Business Manager

Lauren is Country Children’s Physiotherapy's Business Manager.

Lauren is a Chartered Accountant who was working for a big 4 accounting firm before taking a career break to raise and care for her Family.

Lauren has held many volunteer roles within the local community and absolutely loves living in Canberra.

Outside of work Lauren and enjoys knitting, sewing, travelling and cooking.

Jasper is Country Children's Physiotherapy’s Receptionist and your first point of contact for our clinic.

He has a background in customer service and retail management and now enjoys bringing his people skills to the clinic. He looks forward to seeing you when you come in.
